Dr. Zhang has dedicated her career to advancing precision diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, with a particular focus on gastric cancer, in China and globally. She has led clinical trials that resulted in application of eight novel drugs and four therapeutic regimens, and she holds ten patents. Over the past five years, she has published 24 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author (including co-authorship) in leading journals such as JAMA, Nature, The Lancet, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO), with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 600 and up to 500 citations for a single publication. She has contributed to the development of approximately 30 clinical practice guidelines. 

Dr. Zhang currently serves as the Secretary General of the Clinical Oncology Expert Committee, China Medical Women’s Association; Vice Chair of the Gastric Cancer Expert Committee, Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO); Council Member, Chair of the Oncology Information Management Association, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA); Vice Chair of the Precision Medicine Expert Committee, Oncology Rehabilitation Society, China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (CAGG); Council Member, Chair of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Precision Treatment Committee, Beijing Cancer Prevention and Treatment Society; and Council Member, Beijing CSCO Clinical Oncology Research Foundation.
